Insomnia Cures and Treatments Using Natural Sleep Remedies
Welcome to Our SleepRemedies Center where you will find relevant information concerning your sleep disorder.
Insomnia is a serious condition which does need to be treated and corrected as soon as possible with preference being given to natural sleep remedies whenever possible.
Getting a good nights sleep is basic human nature and sounds very simple and straight forward doesn’t it! Why is it that so many people have such problems with getting to sleep or staying asleep all night?
Insomnia and other sleep disorders can play havoc with your life. Having a family that depend on you adds extra pressure to resolve your insomnia which in turn makes this even more difficult to cope with. Modern hectic lifestyles have a lot to answer for in terms of juggling a multitude of problems and tasks, they can not only be the cause of insomnia itself but are also a burden when you are a sufferer.
We are going to examine sleep treatment in a lot of detail on this site, from the mild occasional bouts of sleeplessness to the chronic conditions which are the most debilitating to experience. All the insomnia cures shown or recommended by us, such as the SleepTracks Program (pictured above) are natural products or behavioral therapies which can and do work extremely well for many sufferers and side effects are very rare.
Mild or Occasional Insomnia
– this is the insomnia which is experienced now and then by most people. It can happen as the result of diet or over stimulating your brain or body prior to sleep. Worrying over something can cause this, as can excitement. This can be present for as short as one or two days or go on for a number of weeks, on and off.
Severe or Chronic Insomnia
– this is a constant state of sleep problems… Constant waking, early waking, fidgeting and restlessness, inability to fall asleep until the early hours…. these problems are constantly present, almost every day, making each night time become a traumatic dreaded event.
Lack of sleep can be very detrimental to your health. The mind and body need to be sleeping for at least 7 hours a day in order to repair and regenerate cells and tissues. If this time is not provided, then the body will start to feel exhausted very quickly. You can become short tempered, suffer headaches, eye strain, ear ringing and your whole body will be unable to carry out its normal daily tasks. Very severe lack of sleep can bring on hallucinations and memory loss and countless other ailments.

Relaxing your mind and body, getting enough exercise during the day and being able to switch off from your problems, big or small, is a good start to a healthy sleep routine. If your sleep patterns are erratic and you have developed unhealthy habits which interfere with sleep, these need to be addressed and a conscious effort made to change your lifestyle for the better. You should think about diet, drinking, exercise and relaxation techniques together to begin solving your insomnia.

It is very tempting to go to the doctor for sleep aids or sedatives but they do become quite addictive over a period of time, people often say that although they were asleep, they do not feel refreshed after sleep when on this type of medication and on the whole, they can be more trouble than the insomnia itself. If you are very desperate and absolutely must use sleeping pills, then use a natural sleeping aid such as the melatonin and herbal based Melatrol as shown on the left here. This is non addictive and can help you to break the pattern of insomnia.

There are many ways to help yourself finding sleep. I’ve tried many things, and I found that doing physical exercise, eating well and taking 30 minutes to relax before going to bed works best. There are also some herbal teas that will help you relax and some of them are really good.
When I am stressed I will sit on the couch in the dark, sipping some herbal tea and listening music for 15-30 minutes, it works most of the time.
wow good stuff
Great article & music is indeed a very effective way. I personally feel that even though sleep aiding medicines can be used to get rid of this problem but by and large all these sleep inducing medications have various kind of side effects commonly unknown to us. It is always better to go for natural treatment methods and I would specially recommend yoga practice.
